Since 1999, VAPCODE has been at the forefront of rural transformation in Greater Mubende sub-region and beyond.
We have formed and trained over 30 Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations and 65 farmer groups in agribusiness and financial management.
Our 5-year strategic plan aims to reach 15,000 adults, youths, and children through livelihood, health, and education programs.
A society where everyone has equal opportunity to live in a better life.
To contribute to the process of building a Society that participates in social and economic development of their Society.
Teamwork is our core human value in development. We believe sustainable socio-economic growth cannot be achieved unless the whole community understands their own challenges and forms solid, vibrant, and competitive decision-making mechanisms over which they have ownership and control.
Voluntary Action Plan for Rural Community Development (VAPCODE) was founded on Monday 11th October 1999. The idea was brought on board by Amiri Mudde after working with TASO Entebbe as CAC member. He found communities in Busimbi and neighboring areas suffering from PIDs (Poverty, Ignorance, Disease), mostly HIV/AIDS. VAPCODE was registered under Ministry of Internal Affairs No. S.5914/3065 and later incorporated as a company limited by guarantee (Reg. 55936) on 17th November 2002.
